National 5 Maths covers two exam papers — one non-calculator, one calculator — testing algebra, geometry, trigonometry and statistics. A lot of the marks lost aren't about not knowing the maths; they're about exam technique: showing working, applying the right method under time pressure, and knowing the topics that come up every year.
Our tutors work from past papers and the SQA marking instructions, not generic worksheets — focusing on where marks are actually lost and building calculator/non-calculator technique alongside the topics themselves.
